How is tangerine oil used in cosmetics and personal care?
The oil is a natural fragrance component and a fresh-scent active in leave-on and rinse-off cosmetics: creams, lotions, body washes, soaps, shampoos and deodorants.
Formulation notes
- Add in the cool-down phase to protect the volatile top notes.
- Use an antioxidant or a sealed system; citrus oils oxidise.
- Declare limonene and citral when above the EU labelling thresholds.
- Respect the IFRA category limit for the finished product.
