What are the transport and storage requirements for Citrus × limon oil?
The oil is a flammable liquid and oxidises with heat, light and air, so transport and storage are built around those two risks.
Requirements
- Sealed, correctly labelled packs, away from heat, sparks and open flame.
- Cool (< 25 °C), dry, ventilated warehouse, away from polluting odours.
- Protect from light; amber glass or lined drums are preferred.
- Keep headspace minimal; nitrogen blanketing is available for long storage.
Stock rotation is first-in-first-out and the COA carries the production date and storage note.
