In which solvents and bases is the wild rose absolute soluble?
The absolute is soluble in ethanol and fixed oils, poorly soluble in water and glycerin; it dissolves readily in alcohol-based perfumery systems and can be incorporated into the oil phase of cosmetics.

- Pre-dissolve the absolute in alcohol or the oil phase before blending; for aqueous systems use a solubilizer or surfactant
- In fine fragrance, dilute in 95%+ ethanol and allow 24–48 h maturation for a rounded blend
- For balms and creams, melt/warm gently (30–40°C) and blend into the oil phase before emulsification
