How soluble is orris absolute in common formulation solvents?
This orris absolute is freely soluble in ethanol and fixed oils and practically insoluble in water — the typical solubility profile of an alcohol-soluble resinoid. Because of its waxy nature, we recommend pre-warming it to 30–40°C and pre-dissolving in ethanol before adding to aqueous or emulsion systems.
