How soluble is this lemongrass oil in different media?
This lemongrass oil is insoluble in water but freely soluble in ethanol and fixed oils. The ISO 3217 general-grade solubility is 1 volume of oil in 3 volumes of 70% (V/V) ethanol at 20°C; the East Indian type (ISO 4718) is even easier to dissolve at 1:2 in 70% ethanol, and the DB45 domestic type dissolves clearly at 1:0.9 in 95% ethanol.
