Usage Guidance

  • Typical dosage in fragrance concentrate: 0.1-1.5% (perfume), 0.05-0.5% (eau de parfum), always within IFRA category limits
  • Classic pairings: sweet orange, mandarin, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, benzoin, patchouli, sandalwood, amber
  • Because it is very powerful, most perfumers work with a 1-10% dilution in ethanol to control dosing
  • Cinnamal-rich oil can discolor ethanol perfumes slightly over time; add a UV stabilizer if needed
  • The drydown is sweet-woody and warm, which makes it excellent in masculine ambers and unisex gourmands
